Master the essential concepts and skills required to function as an assistant for an experienced paramedic. From proper usage and maintenance of ambulance equipment; to accurately assessing the scene of an ambulance call; and selecting and using relevant lifting devices and procedures, you will obtain all the key skills needed to perform this critical role. You will also learn the mechanics, proper communication procedures and how to apply the selection and safe use of common lifts, transfers, lifting devices and stretchers. Integrated throughout will be the instruction of practicing safe and self-protective methodology so critical to this industry.
