Course Description

This course supports the community ESS teams by providing basic training to new Level One ESS responders. It is offered online and by correspondence.

Course Goal
The goal of ESS107 is to prepare new ESS workers to respond to a level one ESS event.

Course Topics
Course topics include: ESS response levels; Level One responsibilities; preparing to respond and call out procedures; eligibility guidelines; providing service and the ESS forms; working with the media; and worker self care.

Course Format
This five-hour self-paced course is available part-time online or by correspondence.

All course materials will be provided and no special equipment is required. Please note that all Emergency Management Division courses require 100% attendance.
