Certificate Programs

Build your career in emergency management and exercise design through one of the JIBC's two leading applied certificate programs. These professional-level certificates feature a combination of online and applied in-class courses to prepare you for emergency management roles with government agencies and private organizations.

Admission Requirements

Grade 12 graduation or equivalent, or at the discretion of the Coordinator.

Application Process

Application packages are available online below, by mail or in person at the JIBC New Westminster campus. To apply, please follow the process below:

  • Complete the Certificate Programs Application Form [PDF,199KB]
  • Include payment for the $75 Application Fee
  • Write an entrance letter of approximately 200 words describing why you are interested in taking the Certificate Program(s), and submit it with your application
  • Submit the Application Package (application form, payment information, and entrance letter) to the Program Assistant, Certificate Programs at:

Students will be notified in writing of their acceptance to the Certificate Program in approximately two weeks from receipt of their application.
