Are you a public safety professional looking to take your career to the next level or qualify for leadership positions? Or are you looking to start a new career in the exciting fields of emergency management and security? Either way, the JIBC’s Bachelor of Emergency and Security Management Studies program will provide you with the core skills you need to succeed at the management level in emergency management, security and other public safety disciplines.

Program Format
Study Anywhere, Anytime
Available completely online, you can complete this degree anywhere, anytime. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate and share experiences in an interactive online learning experience.
Diploma Exit
Designed in a laddered format, students can graduate with a diploma after the first two years of study. Visit the Diploma in Emergency and Security Management website or contact Program Coordinator, Sarah Wareing, for more information on the diploma exit option.

Admission Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Mathematics 11 (minimum grade of C) or equivalent
- English 12 (minimum grade of C) or equivalent
Application Process
Applications are now being accepted for our September 2011 intake. To apply:
- Complete the program application form.
- Write a letter of approximately 250 words describing why you are interested in enrolling in the program and submit it with your application.
- Submit the application package (application form, entrance letter, proof of educational requirements, and $75 application fee) in person or by mail to:
