Indigenous Medicine Making Workshops

JIBC Aboriginal Gathering Place - New Westminster Campus

Cost per Workshop: $75 (includes registration and the cost of all supplies)

Oct 4th Workshop - Join Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Keepers in Indigenous medicine making as a practice for applied education, and wellness in the area of Indigenization. In this workshop, participants will make medicinal herbal teas, learning about the teachings and uses of the plants with Medicine Collective members Jeri Sparrow and Alannah Young. Participants are encouraged to bring questions for both the Medicine Collective and will also have the opportunity to bring home their own medicinal tea. REGISTER NOW

Nov 8th Workshop - Join Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Keepers in Indigenous medicine making as a practice for applied education, and wellness in the area of Indigenization. In this workshop, participants will make herbal medicinal cough syrup, learning about the teachings and uses of the plants with Medicine Collective members Jeri Sparrow and Tonya Gomes. Participants are encouraged to bring questions for both the Medicine Collective and will also have the opportunity to bring home their own medicinal cough syrup. REGISTER NOW

Dec 20th Workshop - Join Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Keepers in Indigenous medicine making as a practice for applied education, and wellness in the area of Indigenization. In this workshop, participants will make herbal health tonic, learning about the teachings and uses of the plants with Medicine Collective members Tonya Gomes and Dr. Lee Brown. Participants are encouraged to bring questions for both the Medicine Collective and will also have the opportunity to bring home their own health tonic. REGISTER NOW
