Fire Officer Certificate Program

Launching in September 2009 are levels I and II of our revised Fire Officer Program. Levels III and IV will launch in the Spring 2010 Term (January-April).

Feedback from our recent online consultation indicated that you wanted a program that is:

  • Meets the needs of all Fire Departments – whether paid, volunteer or composite
  • Has an education path education path that flows cleanly into the Fire & Safety Studies Diploma and the Bachelor of Fire & Safety Studies

Existing Fire Officer III and IV Students

For those of you that are currently taking classes in our existing Fire Officer III and IV levels or enrolled in our Diploma, we recommend that you continue on this education path. To support you we will continue to offer existing Fire Officer III and IV courses until December 2011.  This path is also the recommended option if you wish to continue into our Bachelor of Fire & Safety Studies.
