Native North American Literature can be found in a bibliographic database called Bibliography of Native North Americans. This database covers all aspects of native North American culture, history and life, including archaeology, multicultural relations, gaming, governance, legend and literacy and contains more than 100,000 citations for books, essays, journal articles, and government documents of the United States and Canada. Dates of coverage range from the sixteenth century to the present.

Biomedical Reference Collection  Permissions

British Columbia Building Code  Permissions
Provides full text access to the 2006 BC Building Code. The Code is based on the model 2005 National Fire Code of Canada. The code sets out technical provisions for the design and construction of new buildings. It also applies to the alteration, change of use and demolition of existing buildings.

British Columbia Fire Code  Permissions
Provides full text access to the 2006 BC Fire Code. The Code is a regulation of the Fire Services Act, and is based on the model 2005 National Fire Code of Canada. The Code sets out technical provisions regulating: activities related to the construction, use or demolition of buildings & facilities. It also covers the design or construction of specific elements of facilities related to certain hazards; and protection measures for current or intended use of buildings.

CBCA Business   Permissions    
CBCA Business provides in-depth access to a broad range of Canadian business periodicals. Over 400 journals, many in fulltext, make up the collection with file depth back to the early 1980's. CBCA Complete   Permissions
CBCA Complete is a comprehensive bibliographic full text reference and current events database. CBCA Education   Permissions   
CBCA Fulltext Education covers monographs and journal articles from over 150 Canadian education journals, many in fulltext. Conference Board eLibrary   Permissions
Provides electronic access to Conference Board of Canada and Conference Board Inc. (based in New York) research. Over 2,600 research documents are currently available on the eLibrary and more than 350 are added annually. Containing thousands of Health Canada–approved drug monographs, links to Health Canada advisories, printable information for patients, searchable product images and more, eCPS is an advanced yet user-friendly resource that is updated regularly.

eSTAT   Permissions 
eSTAT is Statistics Canada's interactive learning tool designed with the needs and interests of the education community in mind. Using over 1,600 CANSIM II* Multidimensional tables and the most recent as well as historical census data, E-STAT brings data to life in colourful graphs and maps. As the JIBC Library has a site license, upon entering scroll down and click on the "Accept and enter" button.

EBMR: Evidence Based Medicine Reviews   Permissions 
Evidence-based medicine is a movement in health care that encourages physicians, nurses, pharmacists and allied health professionals to seek out, appraise and apply the best evidence from the medial literature when confronted with patient treatment decisions. The EBMR database provides systematic reviews of topics, article reviews and access to definitive controlled trials.

ERIC®, the Educational Resource Information Center, provides access to education literature and resources. First Nations Periodical Index  UNRESTRICTED
The First Nations Periodical Index is a joint project of the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College, Saskatoon Campus, the Saskatchewan Indian Cultural Centre and the Library Services for Saskatchewan Aboriginal Peoples committee. (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online) is the U.S. National Library of Medicine's® (NLM) premier bibliographic database that contains approximately 12 million references to journal articles in life sciences with a concentration on biomedicine. Military and Government Collection   Permissions

NCJRS: National Criminal Justice Reference Service Abstracts   Permissions
Provides users with information thoroughly covering the fields of law enforcement and criminal justice. The database contains summaries of more than 190,000 publications including books, government reports, research reports, and unpublished research. It also includes content from 189 journals, including 12 with core coverage. Content dates range from 1970 to the present. Topics covered within the database include corrections, courts, crime statistics, domestic preparedness, drugs, juvenile justice, law enforcement, and victims.

The PILOTS database is an electronic index to the worldwide literature on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental-health consequences of exposure to traumatic events. Produced by the National Center for PTSD, United States Department of Veteran Affairs, electronically available to the public. Links include PTSD Research Quarterly and PTSD Clinical Quarterly.
