OpenDissertations is an open-access database built to assist researchers in locating both historic and contemporary dissertations and theses. Created with the generous support of the H.W. Wilson Foundation and the Congregational Library & Archives in Boston, it incorporates EBSCO’s previously released American Doctoral Dissertations, and features additional dissertation metadata contributed by select colleges and universities from around the world. Providing researchers with citations to graduate research across a span of time, from the early 20th century to the present, this database will continue to grow through regular updates and new partnerships with graduate degree-granting institutions.

First Nations Periodical Index OPEN ACCESS
The First Nations Periodical Index is a joint project of the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College, Saskatoon Campus, the Saskatchewan Indian Cultural Centre and the Library Services for Saskatchewan Aboriginal Peoples committee. This Index contains journals of mainly Canadian Native content and serves as a tool providing access to information about First Nations for students (high school or university), educators, instructors and researchers.
Users must access Google Scholar though our databases (behind the proxy server) in order to export citations to their RefWorks account.
You can link the Justice Institute of British Columbia Library to Google Scholar by changing the Library Links setting in Google Scholar. This allows you to access the Library's subscriptions when searching Google Scholar.
1. Go to Google Scholar and click on the three lines in the top left corner.
2. Click on Settings.
3. Click on Library Links.
4. Enter Justice Institute of British Columbia in the search box.
5. Select the two instances and click Save.
6. Now when you search in Google Scholar, you will see links next to items in your search results.
NOTE: Your settings will be saved until your clear your cache, at which time you will have to re-select the library links.

The Integrated Cadastral Information Society provides a large collection of GIS data for British Columbia including the Cadastre Fabric, assessment data, TRIM maps, etc. The data comes from municipalities, crown agencies, First Nations, and several BC ministries.
Authorized users (faculty and staff) can obtain datasets (located behind the members area) by contacting Christine-Louise Dujmovich, eResources Librarian, and identifying your data needs. Authorized users (faculty and staff) will be required to read and sign a data use agreement before receiving a copy of datasets from the library.
