Bibliography of Native North Americans  
Native North American Literature can be found in a bibliographic database called Bibliography of Native North Americans. This database covers all aspects of native North American culture, history and life, including archaeology, multicultural relations, gaming, governance, legend and literacy and contains more than 100,000 citations for books, essays, journal articles, and government documents of the United States and Canada. Dates of coverage range from the sixteenth century to the present.

Biomedical Reference Collection

British Columbia Building Code 
Provides full text access to the 2006 BC Building Code. The Code is based on the model 2005 National Fire Code of Canada. The code sets out technical provisions for the design and construction of new buildings. It also applies to the alteration, change of use and demolition of existing buildings.

British Columbia Fire Code 
Provides full text access to the 2006 BC Fire Code. The Code is a regulation of the Fire Services Act, and is based on the model 2005 National Fire Code of Canada. The Code sets out technical provisions regulating: activities related to the construction, use or demolition of buildings & facilities. It also covers the design or construction of specific elements of facilities related to certain hazards; and protection measures for current or intended use of buildings.

Canadian Research Index      
A clearinghouse for Canadian research and report literature in all fields. English and French publications from federal, provincial, and municipal government agencies and departments. Includes research, scientific, technical and annual reports, policy papers and statistical materials. Citations and abstracts only.

CBCA Business       
CBCA Business provides in-depth access to a broad range of Canadian business periodicals. Over 400 journals, many in fulltext, make up the collection with file depth back to the early 1980's. Included are trade journals, general business publications, academic journals, topical journals, and professional publications.

CBCA Complete   
CBCA Complete is a comprehensive bibliographic full text reference and current events database. Information is available from a broad range of Canadian sources with the database containing over 4 million records. Subjects covered are current events, business, science, the arts, and Canadian academic information. Full text is available from over 475 journals with indexing for an additional 800 periodicals and daily news sources.

CBCA Education      
CBCA Fulltext Education covers monographs and journal articles from over 150 Canadian education journals, many in fulltext. In addition, it includes Canadian federal and provincial government research reports, monographs from educational research communities across Canada, provincial curriculum guides, graduate dissertations and theses in education.

Conference Board eLibrary  
Provides electronic access to Conference Board of Canada and Conference Board Inc. (based in New York) research. Over 2,600 research documents are currently available on the eLibrary and more than 350 are added annually. The reports cover topics such as Canadian and world economics, business indicators, compensation trends, travel trends and more.

eSTAT    
eSTAT is Statistics Canada's interactive learning tool designed with the needs and interests of the education community in mind. Using over 1,600 CANSIM II* Multidimensional tables and the most recent as well as historical census data, E-STAT brings data to life in colourful graphs and maps. EBMR: Evidence Based Medicine Reviews    
Evidence-based medicine is a movement in health care that encourages physicians, nurses, pharmacists and allied health professionals to seek out, appraise and apply the best evidence from the medial literature when confronted with patient treatment decisions. The EBMR database provides systematic reviews of topics, article reviews and access to definitive controlled trials.

Encyclopaedia Britannica Online     
An online version of one of the World's most comprehensive reference sources. Through EB Online one can search an Internet directory that includes more than 13,000 links to Web sites selected, rated and reviewed by Britannica editors.

ERIC     
ERIC®, the Educational Resource Information Center, provides access to education literature and resources. The database provides access to information from journals included in the Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index. The database contains more than 1,194,000 records and links to more than 100,000 full-text documents from ERIC.

Fire Articles Index  UNRESTRICTED

First Nations Periodical Index  UNRESTRICTED
The First Nations Periodical Index is a joint project of the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College, Saskatoon Campus, the Saskatchewan Indian Cultural Centre and the Library Services for Saskatchewan Aboriginal Peoples committee. A gateway to academic and professional publications where you can search more than 17,000,000 articles, chapters, and reports. Although many are not available full-text, you may register and purchase the articles/reports online. However, some of these titles may be available from the JIBC Library.

(Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online) is the U.S. National Library of Medicine's® (NLM) premier bibliographic database that contains approximately 12 million references to journal articles in life sciences with a concentration on biomedicine. Articles cover topics in medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more.

Military and Government Collection    
Compilation of periodicals, academic journals and other content providing current news on all branches of the military and government. This Collection provides cover-to-cover full text for more than 300 journals and periodicals.

NCJRS: National Criminal Justice Reference Service Abstracts  
Provides users with information thoroughly covering the fields of law enforcement and criminal justice. The database contains summaries of more than 190,000 publications including books, government reports, research reports, and unpublished research. It also includes content from 189 journals, including 12 with core coverage. Content dates range from 1970 to the present. Topics covered within the database include corrections, courts, crime statistics, domestic preparedness, drugs, juvenile justice, law enforcement, and victims.

PILOTS  UNRESTRICTED
The PILOTS database is an electronic index to the worldwide literature on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental-health consequences of exposure to traumatic events. Produced by the National Center for PTSD, United States Department of Veteran Affairs, electronically available to the public. Links include PTSD Research Quarterly and PTSD Clinical Quarterly.
