JIBC alumni have an opportunity to provide important feedback

Results from annual survey of recent graduates to be compiled as part of annual BC Student Outcomes project

Recent Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) graduates have the opportunity to provide important feedback about the quality of their education.

As part of the BC Student Outcomes Research Forum, about 900 JIBC graduates who completed a diploma or certificate program in 2014/15 (excluding short certificate students), will be asked to complete a survey by phone or email. The annual questionnaire includes a core set of questions based on four major themes:

  • Student employment outcomes;
  • Student satisfaction;
  • Ratings of programs;
  • Further education.

“These survey results are very important for JIBC to help us gauge the relevance and effectiveness of our programs for our students and are an integral part of our reporting to the Ministry of Advanced Education,” said Dr. Laureen Styles, JIBC’s Vice-President, Academic. “We hope JIBC graduates will take the time to provide their important feedback.”

Students will be contacted by phone or email by Advanis Inc., which has the contract to conduct the survey on behalf of BC Stats, and residential phones will display the caller as “BC Stats.”  Information about Advanis is available at www.advanis.net and students with questions can contact Advanis directly at 1.866.820.5163 and quote reference code “3294.”  The survey period will extend until the end of June 2016.
