Getting Help for eLearning
JIBC Registration services can assist with online login information for students enrolled in online courses. However, they are not equipped to deal with personal technical or software issues. If you have further questions or issues, please contact the program area directly.
Technical Help
JIBC is upgrading its online course delivery software, Blackboard. This won't affect your online courses other than how you log in. All JIBC courses will be upgraded by the summer of 2012.
Choose the appropriate logon page for your course, below. If you're not sure which login you should use, check your course email. If you're still not sure, contact Student Services at 604.528.5590 or toll-free 1.877.528.5591 (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.).

Computer Requirements
Computer requirements for online courses can be found here.
Preferred Browser
Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox work best with Blackboard. For details on preferred browsers, visit the Blackboard website.
You can also perform a browser check.
The appropriate browser can be downloaded from:
Internet Explorer: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/internet-explorer/downloads/ie
Chrome: http://www.google.com/chrome
Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ie.html
Safari (MAC only): http://www.apple.com/safari/download/
Software
We use Blackboard for nearly all of our online courses. It's a web-based course management system that lets students and instructors interact in a virtual classroom, or use online materials to complement face-to-face training. Each student has a unique user name and password, and only registered students can access course information.
If you would like to learn more about Blackboard please review the blue sidebar links on top right corner of this page.
