Frontline Leadership

The six day Frontline Leadership program provides participants with both the theoretical background and the practical skills needed to handle a variety of issues typically encountered while in a supervisory role.

Who Should Take this Program

The program is directed towards individuals who are in a full or part-time supervisory position and are working in the public health, safety or justice fields.

Format

The program consists of two courses, Part I and Part II, each three days in length. The two courses are typically separated by a one-week period to allow participants to practice their skills and reinforce their learning.  Courses cannot be taken individually, and must be taken in tandem.

The program is based on the behaviour-modeling concept.  Participants will gain knowledge through a combination of theory, video demonstrations and discussions, and will practice the skills in role plays based on their own personal work related issues and challenges.

About the Courses

Students must register at the same time for both FLL195 and FLL196. Participants will receive three credits upon successful completion of all course requirements.  Click below for course information.

The tuition fee of $663 covers both courses. All course materials are covered in the tuition fee.

Prerequisites

Students are expected to be either in a full time or part time supervisory position.  There are no course prerequisites for FLL195; for FLL196 the course prerequisite is FLL195.
