The Fire & Safety Division meets the educational needs of career and volunteer fire fighters, as well as industrial and marine personnel. Programs are offered to meet the lifelong educational needs of fire service personnel, from introductory hands-on courses to advanced diploma and degree programs.

As emergency response becomes more complex, fire personnel increasingly recognize the need for advanced education and training. The JIBC Fire & Safety Division ensures that more than 397 fire departments in British Columbia have access to standards based training for their personnel.

We are excited to offer the second annual Fire Officer Boot Camp at our
New Westminster Campus from July 3, 2012 to July 30, 2012. Students have the ability to complete Fire Officer I or Fire Officer II in under 3 weeks. Or complete both levels in just under 5 weeks. Cources in the new Fire Prevention Officer Certificate are also offered.
