Road Sense Driving
Overview
This in-class course helps drivers develop the key attitudes and road skills required to be a safe professional driver.
The program will focus on:
- effective visual search techniques
- preventable collisions
- hazards and rules of intersection
Who Should Take This Course
This course is offered on a contract basis to companies and various organizations.
Learning Objectives
To provide students with the knowledge and skills to improve their awareness and safety while driving.
Topics include:
- right-of-way
- speed
- intersection skills
- parking lot skills
- backing up
- changing lanes
- assessment of road, weather, passenger, and driver conditions.
Format (Learning Format/Structure)
½ day and full day classroom sessions
The course is offered on a contract basis to private and public organizations.
Cost
Half day $600 (max 20 students)
Full day $900
Instructor travel costs will be charged for courses outside Metro Vancouver.
