The Police Academy offers training and expertise in the following areas:

Recruit Training

The Justice Institute’s Police Academy training is mandatory for Municipal Police Agencies in the Province of BC. Candidates must first be employed by one of the municipal police departments in order to be eligible for enrolment.

Advanced Training

Advanced training provides opportunities for skill development and career enhancement for police officers. Training is offered in the areas of investigation, patrol operations and leadership for in-service municipal and RCMP police officers in the province of BC.

Assessment Centre

The Police Academy Assessment Centre provides candidate assessment services to municipal police departments in BC.

Graduate Certificates

Graduate Certificates provide students with state-of-the-art learning resources, excellent liaison with potential employers in goverment and the private sector, and exposure to an experienced and accomplished faculty.

International

The Police Academy provides education and training to police, enforcement personnel and justice related professionals around the world.

Law Enforcement Studies Diploma

The Law Enforcement Studies Diploma Program provides students with the theoretical background, applied skills and specialized knowledge required to become superior candidates for a range of investigation and law enforcement occupations.
