The Sheriff Academy is one of the founding members of the Justice Institute of British Columbia. Our primary mandate is to develop and deliver training for Sheriff Services in the province of BC. Our recruit and advanced level courses for BC Sheriff Services are recognized nationally and have helped us to build a reputation as a leader in the field of security and threat management training.
Through our Threat Management Centre of Excellence we offer specialized training in high security trial management, protective intelligence and risk and threat assessment for individuals and facilities.
We continually adapt and develop new programs, based on customer requirements, using performance based course design and development. Our Academy constantly seeks to embrace innovative methods of program delivery, using technology to support our program delivery and staff. We pride ourselves in the professionalism and expertise demonstrated by our staff and continually strive to develop our instructional staff to ensure that we deliver the best for your training experience.
