Sheriff Training

This responsibility includes gathering intelligence, providing court security, prisoner escorts (ground and air), jail and jury management, document services and providing services to Coroner’s court.

Sheriffs are defined as Peace Officers within the meaning of the Criminal Code of Canada and may be required to use necessary force in the execution of their duties.

Sheriff Services create and manage plans for the safety of all officials and users of court facilities through risk assessments and developing operational plans for high security and high profile trials.
