Emergency Vehicle Operation
Emergency Vehicle Operation (EVO) is in-service training for emergency personnel and first responders. Operators of emergency vehicles not only face the challenge of driving when responding to emergency situations but they are also exposed to risks associated with daily/non-emergency driving.
EVO driver training focuses on the skills required for driver safety and the safety of the general public. The foundation of the courses is based on the curriculum that both Police and Sheriff Recruits complete during basic training. Like any skill there is a continuum of learning, with ongoing coaching and practice, organizations can ensure their personnel have the knowledge, skills and attitude to be safe on the road.
