About Motorcycle Training Program
The Justice Institute of BC (JIBC) acquired the copyright to the
British Columbia Safety Council’s Motorcycle Training Program
in December 2009. The BC Safety Council has trained riders since
1971 and was recognized as an industry leader. The JIBC is excited
about the addition of the Motorcycle Training Program to its established
driver training programs and looks forward to promoting motorcycle
riding safety and skills.
The Motorcycle Training Program reflects the latest trends and
best practices in motorcycle training. Our experienced instructors
are extensively trained in rider instruction techniques, and have
Class 6 Instructor’s Licenses issued by the BC Provincial
Government.
Training will be held at the Justice Institute New Westminster
Campus and our driving training facility in Surrey.
Pacific Traffic Education Centre
The Pacific Education Centre (PTEC) is a division of JIBC and is
responsible for all driver training programs. PTEC’s goal
is to produce better drivers and reduce collisions on our highways
and roads. PTEC clients include emergency vehicle operators, taxicab
companies, commercial truckers, employees of crown corporations
and private companies, as well as the public at large. PTEC plays
a leading role in traffic related training and education by using
advanced technology, matched by a fresh approach and philosophy
aimed at tangibly transforming driver behavior.
