Awards & Scholarships
JIBC awards and scholarships include the following:
BC Hydro Community Safety Scholarships - Open to employees and volunteers of Local Authorities & First Nations communities in BC for enrollment in Incident Command System Level 400 (CMD140).
BC Transmission Corporation Legacy Award - Open to all students.
Dr. Joseph and Dr. Rosalie Segal Awards - Open to students pursuing careers in trauma or child abuse OR Aboriginal learners in any JIBC program area.
Emergency Medical Assistant (EMA) Education Fund Awards - For students intending to enroll, or enrolled in, the PCP or ACP program.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Award - For students enrolled in the September JIBC PCP program.
Jocelyn Roberts Memorial Award - For women applying to or enrolled in the Career Fire Fighter Pre-employment Certificate.
Minerva Foundation Awards - For Aboriginal women enrolled in, or intended to enroll in, career oriented JIBC programs.
One World Scholarship - For graduates of the Career Fire Fighter Pre-employment Certificate Program who graduated between January 2012-December 2012, to travel to El Salvador to participate in a service-learning opportunity.
Project Hero Scholarship - Open to a dependent of a member of the Canadian Forces where the member lost his or her life as a result of being deployed on an international active operation since 2002.
Wendy Lisogar-Cocchia and Sergio Cocchia Award - Open to students intending to enroll, or enrolled in, a JIBC program of 30 credits or more who have a documented disability or works with people with disabilities.
