Jocelyn Roberts Memorial Awards

Description

This award was established to honour the memory of Jocelyn Roberts, a firefighter with Richmond Fire Rescue, who achieved her dream of becoming a firefighter and was genuinely interested in helping people and making a difference in her community.

Who can apply?

Females who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents, have completed an application for the JIBC Career Fire Fighter Pre-employment Certificate Program and intend to enroll in the next semester are eligible to apply. Other eligibility criteria include demonstrating financial need, academic merit, community involvement, leadership qualities and aspirations to advance in the fire fighting profession.

Value

Up to two awards of $2,500 each will be available annually.
