Course Details

This course, presented through a series of lectures and small group practice stations, is for physicians and allied healthcare professionals involved in the management of cardiac arrest. Day one covers the basic skill components needed to manage a cardiac arrest. Day two involves practice in cardiac arrest scenarios. Each participant manages a cardiac arrest scenario and reviews cardiac dysrhythmia. (Formerly CPD100) ** VERY IMPORTANT! Please read: PRE-REQUISITES. Current and valid certification in Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada CPR-C (HCP). PLEASE NOTE that ONLY a Heart and Stroke Foundation CPR-C (HCP) course will satisfy this requirement. The ACLS course is a Heart and Sroke Foundation of Canada course. CPR courses completed through Red Cross, St. John Ambulance, etc. DO NOT satisfy the CPR pre-requisite. Textbook, Heart & Stroke Foundation,"ACLS Provider Manual" 2015 edition, it is not included in this tuition fee but may be purchased from the JIBC Store at or telephone 604-528-5870.
