Course Details

The learner will gain an understanding of Polyvagal-guided interventions and how to apply them with a variety of client populations. We will explore the biology of connection, the cues of safety that support reorganization of the autonomic nervous system, interventions using the Social Engagement System, specific practices to begin to shape the autonomic nervous system toward connection, and the role of the clinician's autonomic state in the therapy process. This intermediate course is appropriate for clinicians in all areas of the helping professions. The teaching modalities include didactic materials, dyadic experiential exercises, and role plays.
