Course Details

This course will help the learner to be aware of the many dangers and safety issues that surround working in and around confined spaces. The student will gain understanding in what is required before any worker may be allowed to enter a confined space as well as what regulations apply to these spaces. Attention will be paid to controlling access to these spaces, hazards within, as well as ventilating and monitoring the atmosphere. This course meets the training requirements for basic and general entry operations as determined by WorkSafeBC and NFPA 1670 Confined Space Rescue Awareness Level. (Formerly FS165)
