This advanced course examines the scientific and therapeutic uses of pychedelic or "mind manifesting" medicines. Since the late 1960s, public policies have repressed scientific investigation and awareness of these promising medicines. Now, almost 60 years later, studies from major universities are demonstrating the benefits of optimal psychedelic experiences in opening portals of hope and healing. Psychedelics are also being legalized for therapeutic use in post-traumatic stress, anxiety, addiction and other areas. This course is designed for psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, physicians, health workers and related practitioners working in the field of trauma, addiction and mental health who are interested in exploring the use of psychedelic medicines within a therapeutic context.
