Emily Walmsley Foundation Board of Directors March 2022

Emily Walmsley has over 20 years of experience in the Canadian financial services industry, including more than 15 years in the credit union system with extensive knowledge of banking, compliance, product management, marketing and leadership. She currently works as Principal Product Manager at ATB Financial.

A firm believer in lifelong learning, Ms. Walmsley earned both a Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing) and a Professional Communications Certificate from Capilano University. She holds the designations of Fellow of the Credit Union Institute of Canada (FCUIC) from Dalhousie University and both the Certified Product Manager (CPM) and Certified Digital Product Manager (CDPM) designations from the Association of International Product Marketing & Management.  She is currently enrolled in the Post-Experience Master of Management program at the University of British Columbia Okanagan, with graduation expected in 2024.

Her community volunteer work includes serving as a consultant to new immigrants, university students and community members seeking assistance in pursuing higher education and navigating life in Canada. As a Board Director for the JIBC Foundation, she serves as Treasurer and Chair of its Finance, Audit and Investment sub-committee. She previously served as a member of the Capilano University Alumni Association Board of Directors, including as its Vice-Chair from 2019-2021.
