Emily Walmsley has over 20 years of experience in the Canadian financial services industry, including more than 15 years in the credit union system with extensive knowledge of banking, compliance, product management, marketing and leadership. She currently works as Project Portfolio Manager at Stabilization Central Credit Union.
A firm believer in lifelong learning, Ms. Walmsley earned both a Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing) and a Professional Communications Certificate from Capilano University. She holds the designations of Fellow of the Credit Union Institute of Canada (FCUIC) from Dalhousie University and Certified Product Manager (CPM) from the Association of International Product Marketing & Management. She is currently enrolled in the Post-Experience Master of Management program at the University of British Columbia Okanagan, with graduation expected in 2024.
Her community volunteer work includes serving as a consultant to new immigrants, university students and community members seeking assistance in pursuing higher education and/or navigating life in Canada. As a Board Director for the JIBC Foundation, she serves as Chair of its Finance and Investment sub-committee. She previously served as a member of the Capilano University Alumni Association Board of Directors, including as its Vice-Chair from 2019-2021.
