The award was established in 2018 through funds raised at JIBC’s International Women’s Day event focused on women leading in justice and public safety.
One award of $1,000 is available annually.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have refugee status;
- Must be a JIBC student enrolled in an eligible degree, diploma, or certificate program of 10 credits or more.
- Demonstrated community involvement in which they have actively contributed to changing the status quo to foster equality and inclusivity. This must be supported by a letter of reference.
Annually there is one application deadline:
