BC Provincial Emergency Assistance Fund (COVID19)


On April 2 Minister Mark announced a $3.5-million boost to emergency funding for BC Post-Secondary Students.

This fund is for any domestic student currently registered in a program and experiencing hardship due to the current COVID situation. 

Fund Criteria:

  • non-repayable;
  • for full and part-time students enrolled now and during the 2021-22 academic year;
  • for British Columbia domestic students;
  • to address short-term, unplanned and unexpected financial hardship; and,
  • for a range of flexible costs including, but not limited to, living expenses, food, travel, portable computers/remote learning needs and supports for students returning to on-campus learning for the 2021-22 academic year.
