At JIBC, we like to empower students by giving them the ability to register and access their accounts online.
We’ve created online tools to make this possible. We suggest that all our online tools work the best with Google Chrome.
Self-Service
Self-Service is an online service that provides students access and information to their JIBC educational information.
- Username retrieval and password resets
View and update address information
View your class schedule
View financial information and make a payment
View academic history (unofficial transcript) grades and grade point average
Follow the steps below:
- If you are a new or returning student, you will need to request a password using the Forgot Password page.
- Enter your Student User ID (e.g. j0009999) and the e-mail address that we have on record for you. *For security reasons, you must use the password that you have on record with JIBC. This will send a link to the email address you provided when you registered. If you do not receive this email, please check your junk folder. Please note: it may take up to an hour for your student profile to be fully activated.
- Remember that your password has at least 8 characters and contains at least one number, one uppercase letter, and one lowercase letter. Punctuation symbols are allowed but not the space character.
- You will use the same password to access your Self-Service account and your online classes.
- If you have forgotten your username, please follow the steps on the myJIBC page.
Logging Into My Online Courses
JIBC uses Blackboard to support its online classes. You can log in to Blackboard from the myJIBC page.
Follow the steps below:
- If you are a new or returning student, you will need to request a password using the Forgot Password page.

To View Online Courses
You must log in with your student user ID and password on the myJIBC welcome page to view your “My Online Courses” tab through Blackboard.
All courses with an online component are listed from the first day of class.
Once you have logged into Blackboard your online courses will be visible on the start date of the class. Some courses may be visible earlier, if there is required reading before the start date.
