Course Details

This course will focus on how learners can support and influence their organizations to become trauma informed by shifting approaches and interactions with service users, worker wellness, organizational culture and practices, and interagency and community engagement. The course teaches how to build emotional intelligence, resilience, and reflective practice. Learners will be equipped with knowledge to develop strategies and approaches for trauma informed supervision and to challenge cultural norms related to stress management and self-care. The course outlines components of trauma informed organizations based on examples of social service, health, and other organizations that have put these changes into place.
