Note
The withdrawal and refund deadlines listed below apply only to 3-credit courses that are 13-15 weeks in duration, including instruction and final exams. For other courses, check their appropriate program page for deadlines.

  • The summer semester begins.

 

May 15

  • Last day to change status from "credit" to "audit" in a course.
  • Last day to withdraw from a course for an 80% refund.
  • After this date, withdrawals receive a grade of “W” on their transcript and are NOT eligible for a refund.

 

May 18

  • Campus closed for Victoria Day.

 

June 11

  • Convocation.

 

June 26

  • Last day to drop a course or completely withdraw from the Institute without receiving a “W” on your transcript.
  • After this date, a grade of “F” will be recorded.

 

July 1    

  • Campus closed for Canada Day.

 

August 3    

  • Campus closed for BC Day.

 

August 9    

  • Last day of classes.

 

September 8

  • The fall semester begins.

 

September 18

  • Last day to change status from "credit" to "audit" in a course.
  • Last day to withdraw from a course for an 80% refund.
  • After this date, withdrawals receive a grade of “W” on their transcript and are NOT eligible for a refund.

 

October 12

  • Campus closed for Thanksgiving.

 

October 30

  • Last day to drop a course or completely withdraw from the Institute without receiving a “W” on your transcript.
  • After this date, a grade of “F” will be recorded.

 

November 11

  • Campus closed for Remembrance Day.  

 

December 11    

  • Last day of classes.

 

January 4

  • The winter semester begins.

 

January 15

  • Last day to change status from "credit" to "audit" in a course.
  • Last day to withdraw from a course for an 80% refund.
  • After this date, withdrawals receive a grade of “W” on their transcript and are NOT eligible for a refund.

 

February 11

  • Convocation.

 

February 15

  • Campus closed for Family Day.

 

February 16-19

  • Mid-semester reading break.

 

February 26    

  • Last day to drop a course or completely withdraw from the Institute without receiving a “W” on your transcript.

April 2    

  • Campus closed for Good Friday.

 

April 5    

  • Campus closed for Easter Monday.
