Course Details

The Advanced Investigative Interviewing course further refines Child Welfare Practitioners' abilities to navigate sensitive and complex cases, especially those involving disclosures of domestic violence and sexual abuse. Building on skills and strategies from the CFAM-1161 Child Welfare Investigative Interviewing course, learners will strengthen their capacity to manage high-risk situations with cultural sensitivity, empathy, and trauma-informed approaches, while fostering strong collaboration. This course enhances their ability to protect children and youth, as well as support families effectively, and provides opportunities to apply their learning in real-world scenarios through mock interviews with family members.
