Course Details

This enhanced course will equip Environment Canada (EC) Staff with the skills they need to conduct investigations; collect, document, catalogue, and analyze evidence and information; make appropriate case recommendations; organize information in an investigative file; and be prepared to assist the Crown in any subsequent legal proceedings. It examines the role and responsibilities of Environment Canada investigators and takes participants through the various stages of investigative work: attending the scene and gathering information, investigating and documenting their findings, and finally providing testimony at legal proceedings such as a trial.
