First Response Sex Assault Investigations

This course is designed for the officer assigned to patrol duties that will be the first responder to complaints and allegations of sexual assault. The primary focus will be towards the officer with 2-4 years experience. The officer attending this course will receive training and education in the areas of search and seizure, powers of arrest, preliminary crime scene preservation, written and oral statements, primary evidence collection, DNA, witness management and current best practices in sexual assault investigations.
