Course Details
This program is for physicians, nurses or pre-hospital care workers who have current ITLS Provider status. Applicants should be currently involved in caring for critically injured trauma patients, possess exceptional ITLS skills and have a demonstrated interest in and commitment to the ITLS program. Experience in adult education is helpful, but not required. The course content includes planning lessons, understanding characteristics of adult learners, giving effective feedback, planning scenarios, and operating scenario stations. Upon successful completion of the classroom sessions, participants must be monitored during their initial teaching session. Any costs associated with monitoring are the responsibility of the student and are not included in tuition. The participant is a registered ITLS Instructor only upon successful completion of the monitoring process. (Formerly CPD217)
