Course Details

HLSC-2215 Pharmacology is designed to allow health care professionals to build a comprehensive understanding of the principles of medical chemistry, the characteristics and uses of drugs, drug interactions, and common medication profiles. Students will also learn about the legal aspects of pharmacology, drug administration, and dosage calculations, and understand how drugs are used for special populations. Students will use common sources to find information on medications to ensure safe medication use. Textbook(s) required for this course, please see the Diploma in Health Sciences (EMS) webpage.
