Course Details

This course will provide BC Youth Custody Services staff with a refresher on the legislative authority and policy governing the use of force, criteria for using force, and the Youth Custody Services force options model. The course instructors will lead participants in skill development in tactical measures, restraint techniques, and facilitations skills through discussion, practice, and simulations. To successfully complete the training, participants must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the instructed techniques consistent with the regulation and policies guiding use of force.
