Course Details

This course focuses on how to conduct a proceeds of crime investigation, which includes receiving an initial report, evaluating the evidence, and discovering avenues of investigation that will result in the seizure and/or restraint of criminally obtained assets with the ultimate goal of achieving a successful prosecution and forfeitures. Using lecture-based content from subject matter experts who are involved in conducting proceeds of crime investigations or who are partner agencies in the process, learners will work through a crime investigation scenario and present their findings, strategies and plans. This course is designed for police officers who are being assigned more complex investigations.
