The purpose of this course is to provide probation officers with the knowledge and skills required to complete a Community Risk Needs Assessment (CRNA) and apply it towards determining a case management plan. This course will also explore the history of risk assessments and how they came to be used within BC Community Corrections. Also, the underlying principles behind risk/needs based case management will be identified.
