STABLE/ACUTE Sex Offender Risk Assessments.

This course is designed for probation officers working in B.C. It describes the background and utilization of the STABLE-2007 and ACUTE-2007 sex offender risk assessment measures, as well as detailed instruction and practical experience in the use of these risk assessment tools. Student will be given practice in estimating the risk of sex offenders' sexual and violent recidivism. Finally, this course explores the major variables that have been found to underlie sexual re-offence.
