Understanding Relationship Violence

This course introduces probation officers in British Columbia to current policy and practices around the supervision of domestic violence clients. Particular attention is paid to best practices in bail supervision and intake of domestic violence clients, as well as responsibilities to victims. An overview of current statistics and theories in the area of domestic violence will also be provided.
