About the Event
It’s World AI Week – and we’re joining the conversation! From October 6-10, the JIBC Library, Writing Centre, Student Services, and Centre for Teaching, Learning & Innovation (CTLI) are hosting a week of events exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping education and public safety.
Join us for panels, workshops, drop-in activities, and hands-on sessions designed to spark dialogue, share resources, and help our community navigate the opportunities and challenges of generative AI.
Highlights include:
- GenAI Toolkit with BCcampus – learn how to thoughtfully integrate AI into teaching.
- Faculty & Student Panels – hear perspectives on AI in classrooms, research, and learning.
- Acknowledging and Citing AI Workshop – get practical guidance on giving AI credit in APA.
- AI Lab: Test, Tinker, Try – a hands-on session to experiment with tools beyond ChatGPT.
- Your AI Ideas, One Note at a Time – add your voice to our interactive atrium wall.
Events will be held online. At New Westminster campus, stop by our table in the Atrium all week between 12 and 1 p.m.
