To collaborate on paramedic training and curriculum development

Collaboration on paramedic education and training is the focus of a new partnership between the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) in Singapore.

Officials from the two institutions signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) while in Montreal recently for the 2023 World Congress held by the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics.

Through the MOU, the two schools have agreed to explore opportunities to collaborate on curriculum development and student and faculty exchange opportunities in Singapore and New Westminster, discuss potential joint research partnerships, and explore opportunities to develop joint JIBC and ITE programs.

“JIBC has a long history of working with post-secondary institutions and the Government of Singapore to provide education and training in paramedicine to Singaporean students and we are pleased to now continue this work with the Institute of Technical Education,” said Dr. Michel Tarko, President and CEO of JIBC.
