The Credit Union Foundation of British Columbia is the province-wide philanthropic arm of the credit union system founded and funded by British Columbia credit union members. The purpose of the Credit Union Foundation of BC Bursary is to provide tuition support to deserving students in financial need who are enrolled in a JIBC certificate, diploma or degree program.

Value

One award of $1,000 is available annually.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident, or have refugee status.
  • Enrolled and in good standing in a JIBC certificate (10 credits or more), diploma or degree program.
  • Demonstrated financial need not met by other available sources of funding including student loans, grants, sponsorship, work income, etc.

Application Process 

Download and complete an application form.

Students will be notified whether or not they have been selected two to four weeks after the application deadline. This notification will include information on how funds are disbursed.

Note 
Failure to complete all sections of the application form may result in the disqualification of your application. Any misrepresentation will result in a penalty which could include but is not limited to, expulsion from your program, ineligibility to be considered for future awards and forfeit of any outstanding awards.
