Student Success Stories

At JIBC, we're proud of our grads. Many have applied their education toward successful and rewarding careers helping to keep our communities safe. And many have made valuable contributions to their community.

JIBC students at convocation
JIBC Fire Fighting Technologies Certificate (FFTC) graduates Nick Cirillo and Rorie Moir travelled to The Fire Service College in the UK to participate in a special opportunity to study abroad for two weeks and gain invaluable international firefighter training experience.
JIBC firefighting grads gain global perspective
The hands-on, live-fire training for the part-time version of JIBC’s FFTC program is held on evenings and weekends over seven weeks.
Part-time firefighter program helps career pursuit
JIBC’s Community Care Licensing program helped direct Helen Wale to a career where she can make a difference through her passion for quality care for adults with developmental disabilities.
Grad finds career direction through CCLO program
Courtney Lee has always wanted to work with dogs. After graduating from JIBC’s Law Enforcement Studies Diploma program, she was hired by Securiguard as a dog handler for Diesel, who specializes in explosives detection, at YVR.
