Course Details

This course builds on the material from CORR-1060 Adult Probation Fundamentals Part 1 and CORR- 1061 Adult Probation Fundamentals Part 2 by applying the concepts and skills learned. This training involves practicum assignments completed in a community office under the supervision of a senior probation officer, local manager, or designate. The learner will perform core duties, including an initial intake on both bail and sentenced clients, proper file set-up, and completion of a bail supervision plan. The learner will also demonstrate basic administration of court orders, including submitting breaches and applying for court order variations. The learner will identify community resources in their catchment area and establish an updated resource list for future use. Focus will be placed on the application of skills learned.
