Physical & Mechanical Restraint & Search Techniques TTT

This train-the-trainer course will provide new and existing MCFD youth custody trainers the skills and knowledge to facilitate physical and mechanical restraint and searching techniques to BC Youth Custody Services (YCS) staff. The training will consist of learning the relevant legislation and policy for using physical and mechanical restraint techniques within the employment context. Also, the trainers will learn to facilitate, evaluate and correct approved physical restraint techniques, team control and protective shield tactics that are taught to YCS staff.
