Course Details

This is a blended Child Welfare course that includes an online component, some pre-workshop preparation, and a in-person or virtual workshop component. The online component reviews the court process, completing various court documents, court timelines, and integrating the court process with ongoing case management. In the virtual workshop, learners will apply the court process to a realistic practice example in a simulated work environment. Learners will use their skills to manage a sexual abuse case by reviewing a practice example and the relevant SDM tools and forms, writing a Report to Court, and attending a mock trial. This is an interactive session that requires collaboration with colleagues, facilitators, and Director's counsel.
