Course Details

This course provides an overview of the Family Justice Registry (FJR) requirements of the Provincial Court Family Rules and the specialized role of the family justice counsellor (FJC) in selected sites in B.C. Students will learn the specifics of providing services to FJR clients, the role of the court registry, their administrative responsibilities and the FJR referral process. Additionally, students will learn policy timelines, FJC exemptions, the function of administrative support, and the role of dispute resolution in these registries including the procedures when an agreement is reached.
