Course Details

This course meets requirements of Standard 1031 of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Learners will develop the knowledge and skills to conduct thorough fire inspections and determine whether the risk of fire in buildings is minimized, or if, in the event of a fire, firefighters have the maximum chance of successfully fighting the fire. They will use applicable legislation, codes, standards and related data to make assessments and prepare recommendations. Learners will prepare inspection reports, maintain appropriate records and handle related complaints.
