Course Details

This five-day elective focuses on the power of photography as visual communication in an investigative context. Participants will learn how to use photographic applications to document evidence, as well as how to maintain continuity of digital visual evidence and present that evidence in a legal proceeding. The course combines classroom sessions with opportunities for practical application and skills development. On Days 1 to 4, participants will engage in a range of photography exercises, including a night shoot which takes place on day 3, during which they will record images under low light conditions. On the final day, the student will take part in a simulated court session during which they will be expected to present the visual evidence they documented on the previous day. (Formerely IE174)
