Course Details

This self-directed studies course allows learners to take advantage of overseas experience and/or educational opportunities related to the ongoing JIBC program. Learners work in consultation and under supervision of a JIBC faculty member, with the approval of the relevant Dean/Program Director or equivalent. The course consists of at least one semester or equivalent of overseas study involving a minimum of 3 credits. In consultation with the Program, learners may transfer credit for use towards program electives, or as a substitute for one or more courses, or as part of a capstone project, or for additional credits outside of their program. During their experience the learner will be expected to keep track of their experiences through regular focused entries in a journal.
